In spite of the heat this summer, some work along the Blaisdell-Emery Trail between Owens Way and Minard Run has been ongoing. Edge mowing has been completed several times along with some tree trimming. Recently, 23 tons of Trail Surface Aggregate (TSA) has been purchased and delivered for utilization along the trail to fill in potholes, puddle areas, and to smooth out other problem spots. This work will provide a safer and more enjoyable hike or bike ride for our users in the community. It should be noted that the Blaisdell-Emery Trail is a non-motorized trail in the TVTA trail system which is clearly posted at each road intersection from Owens Way to Lewis Run.
